AI relighting

Relight a photo by describing the light you want

Dull overcast shot? Harsh flash? Describe the light instead — “warm golden-hour sun from the left”, “soft window light”, “dramatic studio rim light” — and Omni Creator re-renders the lighting while keeping the subject and composition.

What

What is AI relighting?

Relighting changes how a scene is lit after the photo was taken: the direction of the light, how soft the shadows are, and the color of the light. Exposure and white-balance sliders change brightness and tint globally; relighting moves highlights and shadows as if the light source itself had moved.

Because the model re-renders shading, it may also smooth or slightly alter textures. It works best for moderate changes on a well-exposed photo. Turning a night photo into bright midday is a much bigger edit and less predictable.

Use cases

Common relighting jobs

Rescue flat photos

Add direction and depth to an overcast or flash-lit shot.

Match a set

Give images from different shoots the same warm or cool light.

Mood changes

Turn a neutral portrait into golden hour, blue hour or moody studio light.

Why

Why relight instead of adjusting exposure?

Sliders cannot move a shadow. If the problem is direction — light from the wrong side, no shape on a face, a flat product — relighting fixes it in a way global adjustments cannot. For simple brightness or color fixes, a regular photo editor is faster and fully lossless.

  • Moves light, not just brightness
  • Keeps composition
  • Describe light like a photographer
